Wow! A tree took out one of the lifts. That's amazing! It's insanely windy here too, but not so cold. I hope you're able to enjoy the day anyway, even if you're not on the slopes. Enjoy relaxing by a warm fire with a cup of hot chocolate, or go shopping, or something. Hope the weather improves so you can ski tomorrow.
I actually skied this afternoon. The wind calmed a little bit, but it was still REALLY cold. Michele and I were determined though, so we toughed it out. I think there are only about 25 people in town. The slopes were practically deserted. It's fun that way - not so many people to just stop in the middle of a slope for no apparent reason - or worse, right in front of the drop off on the lifts - what's that about? We have one more day of skiing tomorrow. Hopefully the wind will be better and the slopes won't ice up over night.
